These Amazing shoes I found on Etsy (here) except in a ridiculous size 11 so they fit my freakishly large feet!

My 4 year old would LOVE this Mario shelving unit!  (almost as much as I would)!!!

These floral Doc Martens are perfection!  Docs always remind me of "Clarissa Explains it All", she is and will always be my fashion icon.

These most amazing clubhouse beds!!!  I need one for each of the girls and one for myself please!!!  Can you imagine the possibilities!?

This Thumbelina Sweater coat from Free People's new childrens line "Wee People".  Their kids line is to die for. seriously. stinkin. cute.

....and since I've been such a good girl this year, I would like a Volkswagon camper like this but with groovy original interior!  :)
ahhh.....a girl can dream can't she? :)

Thrifting Hodge-Podge & Pumpkins!

I haven't done a thrifting post in a while (or any post for that matter) but I can assure you, it's not because I haven't been a Good-willing, flea-marketing, Garage sale-ing fool! Cause I have.  Here's a peek at some of my newest treasures!

The beginning of my vintage mug collection

Avon milk glass mug, smurfy mug and Japanese ceramic mug

Japanese ceramic mod design mug, Care Bears birthday mug and the Avon milk glass psychedelic mug
Jazilyn's Super-awesome-Super-Mario-Brothers shirt!
Lots of additions to My Little Golden books collection

Poky Little Puppy original from 1942!
Small curio cabinet-Also an unfinished project hence the empty holes......

Huge curio shelf, $3 at a garage sale!  Someday this will house my mug collection but for now, it's a great dollhouse :)

Here is my family of mini-painted pumpkins.  There are still 2 more, and I'm thinking of making them granny & grampa?
Here is mom, dad, baby and the spider-dog! :)

Also I have 3 big pumpkins to carve, any good carving ideas???

Oh yeah, 2 more unfinished projects......that pesky art history paper and my folklore midterm!!!  Better get on it :)

Dream Job

As midterm exams approach, I feel the need to remind myself of my goals.  I am an aspiring art student and my dream job is to work with a creative team making beautiful window displays.  My biggest inspiration for going to art school is Free People.  Their amazing blog is so full of beautiful images you could spend a day browsing its archives!  Here are a few inspiring images from the window displays of Free People's sister store anthropologie.  Enjoy!!!

SO beautiful!!!!  *sigh*
....I really must write my art history paper now.

Remembering John Lennon

Today would have been John's 70th birthday.  He was truly a treasure of this world and will always be remembered.  This is one of my favorite songs of his which was written about capitalism in the 40's and 50's but, I feel still rings true today.  One of my favorite things about this song is that it's just John and his acoustic guitar.  I'm such a sucker for organic music!  LOVE <3
Working Class Hero -John Lennon
As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career,
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me
If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me

Tuesday Inspiration

There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
-LORD BYRON, Childe Harold

Obsession Alert!

Okay, first of all -I know I suck.  I never finished doing collections week!  I was on the ball Monday and Tuesday and then....I lost my muchness. But, you know after Tuesday even the calender says W.T.F, right!?
Anywho, I would like to share some beautiful pictures with you all and also welcome my new followers!

I could not possibly be more in love with this fall's lace fashion trend!  I don't know if it is because I am a child of the 80's who just so happens to ADORE Madonna, or if it's the perfect combination of sweet and sexy.  I do know I love it more than a squirrel loves nuts!
